President Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has pointed out that the Western states should accept that Islamic Republic of Iran plays a role in international equations, which is due to the good nature of the Iranian nation.
In a televised interview with the people of Central Province on Tuesday night, President Ahmadinejad referred to Iran and West comprehensive talks and added that if these negotiations would be based on the fulfillment of the rights of the Iranian nation and mutual cooperation, Iran will welcome them.
Referring to the fact that Western states have used all political tools and pressure to somehow change Iran's stances, President added that in case on continuation of talks based on equal footing in regard to bilateral, multilateral, and international nuclear cooperation, Tehran is prepared for continuation of negotiations.
In further remarks, President noted that for materialization of Iran's progress, "we will not be after Western role models", while adding that "we will seek a community in which justice, purity, peace, and monotheism rules and we will move forward within the framework of a cultural atmosphere and based on cultural criteria."
