Latina è un comune italiano di 118.055 abitanti capoluogo dell'omonima provincia nel Lazio a 50 km a sud di Roma. Fondata il 30 giugno 1932, rappresenta una delle più giovani città italiane. Fu inizialmente battezzata con il nome di Littoria, assumendo la denominazione attuale soltanto dopo la fine della guerra.
Latina sorge nel cuore dell'Agro pontino, in un territorio in larga parte pianeggiante. La città si trova a dieci minuti dal Mar Tirreno.

Initialement elle fut nommée Littoria et fut rebaptisée après la seconde guerre mondiale. Latina est au cœur de l’Agro pontino, plaine agricole fertile. Le centre-ville se situe à 10 minutes de la Mer tyrrhénienne et de ses plages.

Latina is an Italian city with about 118,000 inhabitants. It is also the administrative center for the Lazio region. It is situated at about 50 km south of Rome. The city was founded on June 30th, 1932 which makes it one of the youngest city in Italy but also an example of fascist architecture. Initially, it was called Littoria and the name was changed after the war. Latina is in the heart of the Agro Pontina, a fertile zone. The center town is situated at about 10 minutes of the wonderful beaches of the Tyrrhenian sea.
